BRINGING READING BACK TO THE READING ROOM

On Thursday May the 9th at 7.30, Croydon Village READING ROOM will Host the first of many book signings and readings. The Reading Room was build by the Downing Family ( of Downing Street and Downing College ) almost 100 years ago and it has been a Village Hall, School, Church and Social Hub all this time. Following a year long restoration project last year, it now hosts Meetings, Pilates, Art Classes, Teaching, The Croydon Cafe, Paddle Tennis and THE CROYDON BOOK CLUB! 

 Mr Percy Mark, a Villager for many years has written the most fascinating and thought provoking book which has been recently published by OLYMPIA PUBLISHING and has been extremely well received. It is the most unusual and wonderful book and this is YOUR opportunity to hear passages read by the Author AND get a signed copy. A CHEESE AND WINE has been organised and a raffle arranged to cover costs. We are THRILLED to host this most exciting event AND put READING BACK IN THE READING ROOM! THANK YOU
