Developing the Reading Room

April 29, 2020

Following a recent survey from Insurers, Ecclesiastical, we are faced with some important  repairs and improvements to the building. ​There is also a demand for more space and facilities, so we have taken the decision to extend and develop certain areas of the Reading Room. To do this, we will need to raise a significant amount of funds, the process of which is detailed here. 

Croydon Reading Room AGM

Croydon Tuesday Club

We have a well established Club starting which is to be held on the 1st Tuesday of every month. We are starting We have plans for Talks, Films, Book Clubs evenings, and much more! The First Tuesday Group (1st Tuesday of each month) meets at 7.30pm in the Reading Room and has really got underway this year and several  interesting events and projects have been undertaken. This is a loosely formed group which pursues a wide range of topics chosen by the members for their own interests and for wider interest within the village. Recent topics have included:
- A study of those from Croydon who lost their lives in WW1
- Policing and home security
- First Aid and hands-on CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation)

Parish Council Meeting

March 26, 2019

Held on the third Wednesday of every month, the Croydon Village Parish Council meetings are chaired by Mrs Sue Slater at 7.30PM, in The Croydon Reading Room. All welcome.
